What access includes
BIA Edge lets your AI search immigration-law sources that matter in practice: precedential cases, ImmCite checks, unpublished BIA and AAO decisions, statutes, state criminal codes, USCIS policy, and specific passages it can cite.
Individual Claude and ChatGPT users can connect immediately. Use the optional form only for connection help, an API key, a managed firm rollout, or a product integration.
For confidential client work, use a firm-approved organizational workspace or another no-training AI account whose settings meet your retention requirements. BIA Edge cannot configure that provider’s controls; avoid client identifiers unless they are necessary and authorized.
Security for professional research
Authorized remote users connect with a revocable, named-user OAuth identity; an issued API key is available for clients that cannot complete OAuth. BIA Edge does not use a shared production bearer for ordinary remote access.
MCP usage counters record identity, tool, date, counts, and timing—not raw tool arguments or query text. Operational logs are minimized, and BIA Edge does not use MCP queries to train foundation models.
Your AI client remains a separate security boundary and may process or retain prompts, tool calls, and results under its own terms and administrator settings. Review BIA Edge’s controls and assurance status.
